Wednesday July 23, 2008
The Funny Site of the Day -- "Oh Hai! Blessinz of teh Ceiling Cat be apwn yu, srsly. This is the lolcat Bible Translation Project, a project dedicated to translating the entire Bible into lolspeak. The Project started in July of 2007 and so far we have 61% of the Bible translated!"

That is how this religious doctrine begins. At my house, it ends with my cat rolling over for a stretch, taking a nap, and not attending Sunday school.

Kids.

Let us pray.

"Praise Ceiling Cat, yu be watchin us, yu can has cheezburger.

"Wut yu want, yu gets, srsly.
In ceiling and on teh flor.

"Giv us dis day our dalee cheezburger.

"And furgiv us for makin yu a cookie, but eateding it.
And we furgiv wen cats steel our cookiez.

"An do not let us leed into teh showa, but deliver us from teh wawter.

"Ceiling Cat pwns all. He pwns teh ceiling and teh floor and walls too.

"Forevur and evuhr. Amen."

My spellchecker is smoking.

The Official Dilbert Website

Monday July 21, 2008
The Funny Site of the Day -- Something I've noticed in my years on the Internet, dating back to coal-powered browsers and live mice, is that little guy Dilbert has always helmed a state-of-the-art and forward-moving Web site. A return visit to the home of Scott Adams' comic strip, Dilbert.com, reinforced the opinion.

One of Dilbert's Frequently Asked Questions is worth asking again, because the following corporate answer is informative and does my work for me -- always a plus at any site!

Q: What's up with this new Website?

A: It was a combination of a strong desire to make you happy and a bunch of free time on our hands. But the good news is that, in spite of ourselves, we did come up with some brilliant doodads, if we do say so ourselves:

  • For the monochromatically challenged - color Dilbert strips every day

  • All Dilberts all the time since 1987

  • Larger strip size - so no squinting!

  • Rank the strips and save your faves

  • Animated Dilbert

  • Share Dilbert with all your friends, cubebuddies and fellow office inmates

  • Widgets to post to Facebook, MySpace, iGoogle, blogs and more

  • Dilbertize yourself by creating your own custom Dilbert strips with new mashups!

  • All free. Yep. That's right. FREE!
  • Golly! Now, if they'd just give The Pointy Haired Boss a makeover, maybe a conditioner.

    Sad Trombone

    Sunday July 20, 2008
The Funny Site of the Day -- At last, something suitable for pretty much all of my personal comedy hijinks.

    Unfortunately.

Sad Trombone explains itself: "When a rim shot just isn't appropriate. This is [a] fun and humorous tool to use on those tools in your office."
